How to use
Use Prochlorperazine 3mg Buccal Tablets exactly as directed by your pharmacist, prescriber or the patient information leaflet supplied with the product.
The treatment schedule for nausea & vomiting is: 1 to 2 tablets twice daily. Do not change the dose, frequency or duration unless advised by a clinician.
Place the tablet high between the upper lip and gum as directed and allow it to dissolve. Do not chew or swallow it whole like a standard tablet.
Product licensing differs. Pharmacy-only Buccastem M-type products are restricted to nausea and vomiting associated with previously diagnosed migraine in adults and have a maximum treatment duration of 2 days. Check contraindications including epilepsy, Parkinson's disease and narrow-angle glaucoma.
If symptoms of nausea & vomiting worsen, do not respond as expected or you develop a serious reaction, stop and seek appropriate clinical advice.
