How to use
Use Nitrofurantoin MR 100mg Capsules exactly as directed by your pharmacist, prescriber or the patient information leaflet supplied with the product.
The treatment schedule for lower uti in women is: 100 mg twice daily for 3 days. Do not change the dose, frequency or duration unless advised by a clinician.
Take each capsule with or just after food to improve absorption and reduce stomach upset. Complete the prescribed course even if urinary symptoms improve sooner.
Take with food or milk. Not suitable for suspected pyelonephritis. Kidney function, G6PD deficiency, porphyria and previous lung, liver or neurological reactions should be reviewed. New respiratory or hepatic symptoms require prompt medical advice.
If symptoms of lower uti in women worsen, do not respond as expected or you develop a serious reaction, stop and seek appropriate clinical advice.
