Lamisil AT 1% Cream is a topical treatment used for fungal skin infections where clinically appropriate. It contains Terbinafine 1%.
Terbinafine is a topical antifungal active against dermatophytes that commonly cause athlete’s foot and ringworm. Depending on the licensed product, it is applied once or twice daily. Typical courses are around 1 week for athlete’s foot and 1 to 2 weeks for ringworm.
Suitability depends on your symptoms, medical history, current medicines, allergies, previous treatment and pregnancy or breastfeeding considerations where relevant.
How to use
Use Lamisil AT 1% Cream exactly as directed by your pharmacist, prescriber or the patient information leaflet supplied with the product.
The treatment schedule for fungal skin infections is: Once or twice daily. Do not change the dose, frequency or duration unless advised by a clinician.
Apply a thin layer to the affected area as directed. Wash your hands after application unless the hands are the area being treated, and avoid the eyes, mouth and other mucous membranes unless the product is specifically intended for them.
The exact frequency depends on the specific product. Apply to clean, dry skin and complete the recommended course. Scalp infection, nail infection, widespread infection or treatment failure requires reassessment.
If symptoms of fungal skin infections worsen, do not respond as expected or you develop a serious reaction, stop and seek appropriate clinical advice.
