Foundayo

Some people experience side effects while taking Foundayo. Very common side effects can include feeling sick, constipation, diarrhoea, vomiting, indigestion and stomach pain.

Common side effects can include dizziness, headache, fast pulse, low blood pressure, bloating, burping, reflux, heartburn, wind, gallstones, hair loss, tiredness and increased pancreatic enzymes on blood tests.

Low blood sugar can occur, especially if Foundayo is used with insulin or sulfonylurea medicines. Symptoms may include headache, drowsiness, weakness, dizziness, hunger, confusion, irritability, fast heartbeat and sweating.

Foundayo can cause nausea, vomiting or diarrhoea, which may lead to dehydration. This is particularly important if you have kidney problems. Drink enough fluids and seek medical advice if you cannot keep fluids down or feel dehydrated.

Stop taking Foundayo and seek urgent medical advice if you develop severe, persistent stomach pain, especially if it spreads to the back or is associated with vomiting. This may be a sign of pancreatitis.

Seek urgent medical help if you develop signs of a serious allergic reaction, such as swelling of the face, lips, tongue or throat, difficulty breathing, wheezing, fast heartbeat, pale or cold skin, severe rash, dizziness, weakness, fainting or collapse.

Contact a clinician urgently if you develop sudden vision changes, severe constipation, severe abdominal swelling, vomiting, inability to pass wind or open your bowels, symptoms of gallbladder disease, or symptoms of kidney problems linked with dehydration.

Foundayo is not suitable for everyone. Do not take it if you are allergic to orforglipron or any ingredient in the tablets.

Extra clinical review may be needed if you have or have had pancreatitis, severe digestive problems, severe gastroparesis, kidney problems, gallbladder disease, diabetic retinopathy, macular oedema, severe heart failure, low blood pressure risk, or if you are due to have surgery under anaesthesia.

Foundayo should not be used during pregnancy. If you are planning pregnancy, treatment should usually be stopped at least 3 weeks before trying to conceive.

Foundayo should not be used while breastfeeding.

Foundayo may reduce the effectiveness of oral hormonal contraceptives. Women using oral contraception should consider a barrier method, such as condoms, or switch to a non-oral contraceptive method for 30 days after starting Foundayo and for 30 days after each dose increase.

Tell your clinician about all medicines you take, including prescription medicines, over-the-counter medicines, supplements and herbal products. This is especially important if you take diabetes medicines, insulin, sulfonylureas, blood pressure medicines, statins, simvastatin, rosuvastatin, clarithromycin, ketoconazole, itraconazole, ritonavir, carbamazepine, rifampicin, phenytoin, efavirenz or St John’s wort.

Foundayo is not recommended for children or adolescents under 18 years.

Suitability depends on BMI, weight-related health conditions, medical history, current medicines, diabetes status, digestive health, kidney function, gallbladder history, pregnancy or breastfeeding status, contraception needs and clinical assessment. Prescription medicine is supplied only where clinically appropriate.
