Fostair Inhaler is an inhaled treatment used for asthma where clinically appropriate. It contains Beclometasone dipropionate and formoterol fumarate; strength and device depend on the prescribed product.
Fostair combines an inhaled corticosteroid with formoterol. Fostair 100/6 can be prescribed as maintenance treatment or as maintenance and reliever therapy. In adult MART use, current product information lists one inhalation twice daily plus extra inhalations as needed, with a maximum of 8 inhalations daily.
Suitability depends on your symptoms, medical history, current medicines, allergies, previous treatment and pregnancy or breastfeeding considerations where relevant.
How to use
Use Fostair Inhaler exactly as directed by your pharmacist, prescriber or the patient information leaflet supplied with the product.
The treatment schedule for asthma is: Regimen dependent. Do not change the dose, frequency or duration unless advised by a clinician.
Use the exact inhaler device and strength prescribed and check your inhaler technique. If the inhaler contains a corticosteroid, rinse the mouth with water after the maintenance dose and spit it out.
The dose and role depend on the exact strength and prescribed regimen. Fostair 200/6 is maintenance-only and should not be used as a reliever. Frequent rescue use requires asthma reassessment.
If symptoms of asthma worsen, do not respond as expected or you develop a serious reaction, stop and seek appropriate clinical advice.

Side Effects & Cautions

Stop treatment and seek urgent medical help for difficulty breathing, swelling of the face, lips or tongue, collapse or another severe allergic reaction.
