Eumovate 0.05% Cream is a topical treatment used for eczema where clinically appropriate. It contains Clobetasone butyrate 0.05%.
Clobetasone butyrate is a moderately potent topical corticosteroid used for steroid-responsive inflammatory skin conditions including eczema and dermatitis. It is normally applied sparingly once or twice daily according to the product and clinical advice.
Suitability depends on your symptoms, medical history, current medicines, allergies, previous treatment and pregnancy or breastfeeding considerations where relevant.
How to use
Use Eumovate 0.05% Cream exactly as directed by your pharmacist, prescriber or the patient information leaflet supplied with the product.
The treatment schedule for eczema is: Once or twice daily. Do not change the dose, frequency or duration unless advised by a clinician.
Apply a thin layer to the affected area as directed. Wash your hands after application unless the hands are the area being treated, and avoid the eyes, mouth and other mucous membranes unless the product is specifically intended for them.
Potency, treatment area, age and duration must be considered. Non-prescription Eumovate Eczema & Dermatitis is for adults and children aged 12 years and over and is limited to up to 7 days before medical review.
If symptoms of eczema worsen, do not respond as expected or you develop a serious reaction, stop and seek appropriate clinical advice.

Stop treatment and seek urgent medical help for difficulty breathing, swelling of the face, lips or tongue, collapse or another severe allergic reaction.
Use only as directed on the pack or by the pharmacist, and seek clinical review if symptoms are severe, recurrent, atypical or not improving as expected.
