How to use
Use Azithromycin 500mg Tablets exactly as directed by your pharmacist, prescriber or the patient information leaflet supplied with the product.
The treatment schedule for diarrhoea & traveller's diarrhoea is: Once daily for 1 to 3 days where indicated. Do not change the dose, frequency or duration unless advised by a clinician.
Swallow the medicine with water at the times directed. If a dose is missed, follow the patient leaflet and do not double the next dose unless specifically instructed.
Not routinely supplied to every traveller. Requires review of destination, access to medical care, pregnancy, allergies, interacting medicines, heart-rhythm risk and liver disease. Antibiotic use can contribute to antimicrobial resistance.
If symptoms of diarrhoea & traveller's diarrhoea worsen, do not respond as expected or you develop a serious reaction, stop and seek appropriate clinical advice.
